First Lieutenant Donald R. Sanders
Donald R. Sanders, a resident of Arlington, Virginia, joined the United States Marine Corps in June 1985 at the young age of 17. While there, he attended off- duty classes in the evenings, and on the weekends at enlisted government camps and formal schools, OCS, TBS, and office formal schools; so that he could earn his associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Now, as a First Lieutenant, Sanders is responsible for ensuring that Marines in the Washington, DC metropolitan area receive accurate and timely pay services from the Henderson Hall Finance Office. Sanders plans to continue to learn and succeed in the United States Marine Corps as well as pursue his doctoral degree, because to him, "Respect goes both ways. Never think that you have all the answers."
